Webtwitch Wednesdays!
As a way of keeping this blog updated more often, I am going to try to track my web twitches from week to week and post them here! My hope is to coalesce new information, technologies, and approaches as I happen upon them, or perhaps maybe reintroduce information and technology that is already known. If nothing else, perhaps this reflexive blogging will allow me to track themes within my own information seeking and browsing habits (can you tell I’m in an information behavior class this semester?), which could be an interesting study all its own I’m sure!
First the definition of webtwitch: Our new-found need to immediately look something up online the moment it comes up in the context of our daily lives.
With that – here are my current web twitches:
http://rprimelab.com/ – It’s a viral approach to establishing a fan base for Whedon’s newest series, Dollhouse. (I’m a huge Whedon fan – started with the Buffy series on its premier night!)
http://greenlandgame.com/ – A new interactive game sort of like Risk, but online. Unfortunately I have not been able to keep up with it.
http://sxsw.com/interactive/talks/schedule – The SXSW Interactive 2009 panel listing. I keep finding new ones I want to attend!
Keeping tabs on GM – as part of my class project in Organizational Anthropology where we are working with internal GM anthropologists to gauge what public perceptions of GM are.
